An entry 2 weeks late. Forgive me, for I have not found the courage to honestly say goodbye to what was the best 18 days I've had.
London was awesome. Need I say more? ;)
We kicked off London by taking an early morning stroll through Regent's Park and Hyde Park. Our hostel was based in Bayswater which was just a walking distance from Hyde Park. The parks were...big and clean, which was good enough for me. We had to pick up our tickets for Madame Tussaud's at 10.30 so we took our time and spent the morning just catching up and chattering all away.
I was happy that I got to take a picture with a creepy looking waxed Zac Efron, but the highlight of the tour was when I saw a BEAUTIFULLY looking George Clooney. So you know the expression, 'weak at the knees'? Well, no other words could describe the way I felt at that time than that expression haha
So after our trip to Madame Tussaud's, I believe everybody was too starstruck that we actually...lost our way. Literally. We got lost finding our way to Trafalgar Square, but something good happened along the way! We found a bookshop called 'Daunt Books' and I finally got myself the final book of Hunger Games! Yay! :D So after we finally admitted ourselves that we were lost, we figured we'd go sightseeing first and leave the rest of tomorrow for shopping. So we headed our way to the London Bridge, which surprised me because..London Bridge wasn't as amazing as I expected it to be. Remind me to find out how anybody even came up with the whole 'London Bridge is falling down' crap. But the Tower Bridge was beautiful! The closer we got to the Tower Bridge, the more amazed I was.
By the time we got to Buckingham Palace, it was already night time which kind of sucked. Buckingham Palace would have been so much more beautiful if I had gotten to see the changing of guards in the morning. Oh well, gives me another reason to actually go there again hopefully, maybe one day ;) We spent the rest of the night chowing down Fish and Chips and tucking in early for another day out in the city.
I couldn't sleep well that night considering that the next day we were going to go to a place which I have longed to go to since I was a little girl; the Big Ben.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sun was shining brightly the next day. It was the perfect weather. We went first to King's Cross to have our English Breakfast which was awesomely HALAL. I envy all you Muslims living in the UK. You got it right =.=" So we headed our way next to the Big Ben and London Eye. Big Ben was breathtaking as I expected to be. There's just something about that tower clock that just makes you wanna sit down and just look at it all day. Please, don't call me crazy? The London Eye..Well, I'm sorry but to me all ferris wheels are all the same. Kind of like looking at the Eye of Malaysia, no? It had a spectacular view, though.
Our next stop was to Westminster, because I wanted to see Westminster Abbey. Forgive me for being such a royal wedding fan. I grew up adoring Prince William, so it felt right to go to visit the place where he got married, no? Except..Westminster Abbey was on construction and it was a Sunday. Oh well, at least I got to see what was the outside of it; which was enough, really.
The next part of our trip to London, is my favorite part of it all. Oxford Street :) Indeed, a heaven for shopaholics. Luckily, I could control myself. Though I did almost cave in on that black tote bag at River Islands :s and the flowered patterned tote Pija bought at Dorothy Perkins. So my catch at Oxford Street? Jeans from Dorothy Perkins. That was it! *big clap for myself* We spent the rest of the day at Picadilly Circus; which I believe should be seen at night although I hate taking pictures at night 'cause they come out all...fugly, Trafalgar Square; although there was a Russian event or something which just finished by the time we got there so they were clearing out the square so we didn't even get close to it...which was a bummer. What were the odds, huh? =.="
Ended the night by taking the bus back home after a tiring walk to Hamley's, which we mistakened for Harrods. BUT, our silver lining: we had an awesome steak dinner which I can't seem to forget about until now. T.T
We cleared out our stuff from the hostel and headed out to the airport early in the morning for our next voyage; Italy. And boy, do I have a lot to say about Italy ;)

'Desperately, shriekingly, soul-punishingly miserable.'
A little bit of something from Eat, Pray, Love for the day:
'If this is happiness, I suppose (which is really a few months old by now), that gets me to thinking upon my return to Rome that I need to do something about David. That maybe it's time for us to end our story forever. We were already separated, that was official, but there was still a window of hope left open that perhaps someday (maybe after my travels, maybe after a year apart) we could give things another try. We loved each other. That was never the question. It's just that we couldn't figure out how to stop making each other desperately, shriekingly, soul-punishingly miserable.'

'All Tomorrow's Parties'
My 2nd year here has finally come to an end! Woohoo! *fireworks*
Time does fly fast doesn't it? This year, God really tested my patience. For a minute, I thought I had everything I ever needed, and He went and took one thing away from me, and I immediately fell to pieces. It was good to be tested. Makes you remember and realize that you can never really have everything all at once..
So last night we had our Farewell party for all the seniors who are going back to Malaysia for good this March. We had to cook, set everything up, by the gifts; so basically we had to do everything. It was tiring, but the outcome was amazing.

Nazriq and I. Goes to show I will never be able to get to his height no matter how high my heels are (=.=")
Oh, the theme was purple and blue. Perfect combination of my two favorite colors.
I love this picture. Everybody looks so happy!

It was fun to see everybody all dressed up and looking all handsome and pretty :p It was one of the best nights here I've had so far, I think. May there be many more memories to come!
"Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever.'"

And if you're lucky..
"You ever heard the expression 'The best things in live are free.' Well, that expression is true. Every once in a while, people step up. They rise above themselves. Sometimes they surprise you and sometimes, they fall short. Life is funny sometimes. It can push pretty hard but if you look close enough, you can find hope in the words of children, in the bars of the song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back."
